RAIN
"Rain... rain go away
Come again another day.
Little children want to play
Rain... rain go away..."
In the eyes of a child, life is as
easy as 1, 2, 3... They never mind what tomorrow may bring.
Being free is what makes them happy. They just want to play and have fun.
"Blame it on the rain. Blame it on the stars. Whatever
you do. Don't put the blame on you..."
You don't have to feel guilty if things unfold beyond your
means. If you feel like all your efforts are put into waste and everything
you've labored do not favor others.. Don't be saddened. If you've done your
best... Let GOD, do the rest.
"Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin'
red..."
Some people may pretend not hurting inside but the truth
reveals just looking through their eyes. A smiling face may be crying inside.
"Rain gently falls whenever we say goodnight. Falling
like when your out of sight. Rain follows me even in my bed. And rain is the
tears that I shed..."
Sleepless nights like endless waiting hours. Being apart is unbearable. Being away from
each other can make or break the bond. Long distance relationships can hardly
survive but fate never fails. If two hearts are meant, the love will prevail
even across the miles.
"Here comes the rain again. Falling on my head like a
memory. Falling on my head like a new emotion..."
Reflections of the past will only linger. Never will it
happen in the same place and at the same time. As we reminisce those precious moments behind us, let them stay in our hearts and treasure forever.
"I'm singing in the rain. Just singing in the rain. What a
glorious feelin'. I'm happy again. I'm laughing at clouds. So dark up above. The sun's in my heart. And I'm ready for love."
"It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!. I'm gonna go out to run and let myself get. Absolutely soaking wet!"
"Rain, feel it on my finger tips. Hear it on my window pane. Your
love's coming down like...Rain, wash away my sorrow. Take away my pain. Your love's coming down like rain..."
Love within your reach is love that should be cherished. No time should be wasted... just savor every single moment of warm intimacy. Being in each others' arms is like embracing a world without apprehensions. No misery... Live it like it's the last time. Love it like it's the first time.
"When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained. But darlin’ when I hold you, don’t you know I feel the same? Nothin’ lasts forever and we both know hearts can change. And it’s hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain."
"Heto ako, basang-basa sa ulan
Walang masisilungan, walang malalapitan
Sana'y may luha pa, akong mailuluha
At ng mabawasan ang aking kalungkutan."
Here I am, drenched in the rain.
Nowhere to go, nobody to turn to.
I hope there are more tears, tears that I can shed
In order to lessen this loneliness.
RAIN will continue to fall whenever the clouds become heavy enough. The darkness may bring a disheartening atmosphere but if the water droplets reach the grounds... a shining sky will come into sight... a rainbow may appear, then radiance is in the air once more.
I love this post! Whatta passionate writer you are.. rains do come but it can't last forever, lessons will be learned, times will change, all for good!:)
ReplyDeleteRain may fall too hard and we can be wet and damped like problems that may somehow trouble us. But, with the umbrella that will protect us like a SAVIOR or God's intervention... we'll have the strength to face the storm.
DeleteAmen to that!:)
DeleteThis post reminded me of my hobby way back, which was to interpret the lyrics of songs. I love Madonna's rain and songs about the rain in general. I'm missing Rivermaya and After Image's songs about the rain. ^_^
ReplyDeleteOh, pardon me Ms Cris... I have no idea about their songs but it's really nice to learn how music and its lyrics affect the lives of people.
DeleteIf you would allow my imagination to run, should the rain continuously flow in Metro Manila or any other provinces in the country, we will be on for a serious natural calamity. Our poor drainage system, as well as poor planning and maintenance have to be looked into, deeper and seriously.
ReplyDeleteThis indeed is a serious matter and should be resolved before it's too late for us to even save our family when severe flooding will happen again.
DeleteAnyways, your concern would be better tackled maybe in another post. Thanks for bringing this up.
WE can all agree to that, sometimes, it gets better if the rain poured heavily. No matter how hard it is, there's always a sunshine after the rain.
ReplyDeleteWhen it rains... it pours and when it pours heavily... flood will come rushing in. BAHA, na naman !!
DeleteLol! and all the other diseases associated with heavy rains.. hay
DeleteI love the interpretations you gave to all those rain stanzas and the lessons we can learn from them.
ReplyDeleteI remember my cousin and I were singing rain, rain go away... sincerely while it was raining in the hopes that we can resume playing outdoors.
ReplyDeletewow, very nice post you got there, nakakatuwang isipin na nainterpret mo lhat yun, very well written!
ReplyDelete:)
Rain brings back memories, good and bad but I seek comfort in knowing that after the rain comes sunshine.
ReplyDeletelol that it also the first song that came to my mind when i clicked your blog!
ReplyDeleteI guess even at times it becomes uncomfortable when it rains, it's needed so we can prioritize other things we do not outdoors plus of course, the rain is there to resupply the earth of hydration.
ReplyDeletewhat a candid post! but the truth is rain gives us life ... it changes everything in a wonderful way :)
ReplyDeleteI love this post, ang galing ng compilation ng songs with the word rain on it. It's actually pouring over here at my end and how I love the sound of the rain. :)
ReplyDeleteNow, I think about it, when it rains, baha naman talaga! Hay naku!
ReplyDeleteThis song take me back to my younger days...."There'll be no sunshine in my life until you say you're mine oh mine, there'll be no summer, spring or fall, each day is like winter time, but I could never say I care I know it won't be smart...somebody owns your heart, it can never be mine..."
ReplyDeleteRain may have good and bad effect in one's life. Naturally, rain is good for the farmers, for the plants. Figuratively, rain may mean something depressing, something of sadness. Your first rain exposition reminds me of my elementary days. This song my late mother used to sing every time rain comes. And the 3rd song lines remind me of my teenage days. This song I used to sing when I am away with my high school sweetheart especially during summer vacation.
